Although initiated and run by the University Muslim Medical Association, the Clinic is a product of a rich network of collaborations and partnerships. This includes academic institutions, hospitals, city county and federal government, and private and corporate businesses.
The LA City Council helped UMMA secure the site and its construction, as well as a $700,000 from the U.S. Housing and Urban Development Department. Area universities contribute faculty and academic support. Corporate donations of over $150,000 worth of equipment have made the clinic a state of the art facility.
