Naim Shah Jr., CPA has served on the UMMA Board since 2005. He co-founded the ILM Foundation, a faith-based social service organization. ILM Foundation has succeeded in launching the largest Humanitarian effort lead by Muslims Americans during the month of Ramadan called "Humanitarian Day". Naim is also Managing Partner of Shah & Associates CPA Firm.

Nicole Ballivian has served on the UMMA Board since 2005 and is a consumer member. She is an independent film maker.

Khaliq Siddiq M.D. MPH is one of our founding board members and has served on UMMA’s Board and Advisory Board since 1996. He is currently working as the Medical Director at St. Johns Medical Center.

Paul Wong has served on the UMMA Board since 2005. He is an attorney in the UMMA service area and voluntarily gives his time and expertise to the community. He earned his J.D. from Boston University in 1993 and his M.P.H. in Health Law from Boston University in 1994.

Leslie R. Ravestein has served on the UMMA Board since 2005. Leslie also serves as corporate counsel for a local aerospace and efficient electric energy research and development company.

Andrea LaShea El-Kouby has served on the UMMA Board since 2005. Andrea is an adult educator and student support services coordinator for a local school district. She provides parent education for English learners and community resources for students and their families.

Raziya Shaikh PhD has served on the UMMA Board since 1996. Raziya is a new mom and she is working towards an MBA at the University of Southern California. Raziya received her PhD from UCSD in Biology.

Li’i lsoko Furumoto has served on the UMMA Board since 2005. She currently works part-time at a local high school for the Asian Pacific American Legal Center. She also serves as co-founder and coordinator of the Chicana/o Indigenous Youth Initiative.

Viviana Trujillo, has served on the UMMA Board since 2005. She is one of the co-founders and directors of Community Harvest charter school in South Los Angeles, which serves UMMA’s target population.

Munaf Kadri, MD is a founding Board member of the UMMA clinic. Munaf has been a provider at UMMA Clinic since 1997. Munaf Kadri received his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from the University of California, Irvine and his Doctor of Pediatrics and Neonatology from the Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital. Currently, Dr. Kadri is an assistant professor at Loma Linda University in the division of Neonatology.

Murtaza Sanwari is currently a Senior Manager at Kaiser Permanente where he leads large, complex and/or multiple project teams consulting on strategic planning, operations improvement, turnaround planning/management and new ventures. Murtaza has 12+ years experience in the administrative and financial arenas of the health care industry. He received his bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration from California State University Northridge and his master’s degree in Public Health from San Diego State University.

Rasheedah Rogers is currently a liason for Niswa Association in which she administers the budget for the youth tutoring/mentoring program. She also serves in the community as the treasurer at Masjid Ibadillah and as current assistant to the treasurer for the ILM Foundation.

Norma Arambula is a preschool teacher and is currently taking classes at El Camino Community College. She is a consumer member, and likes to participate in fundraising for clinics and enjoys giving back to her community. |
